When someone suffers a traumatic combat injury, seconds can mean the difference between life and death. That's why it's crucially important to have access to the right tools and possess the appropriate skills to use them any time you may be placing yourself into a potentially dangerous situation.
The Thousand Pikes Emergency Trauma Medicine Course will teach attendees how to make proper use of the contents of a common Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) in order to provide emergency treatment to an individual who has suffered a traumatic injury, such as a gunshot, stab, laceration, etc, as well as the fundamentals of casualty evaluation and care using the MARCH priority protocol (Massive Hemorrhaging, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Hypothermia).
The 05/08/2021 course will be instructed by Evan McNeal, former Navy Corpsman and current EMT, and will be held at the following address from 1-5 PM (we may finish sooner if there is a smaller class showing):
